2023 STICKA 'DANTE' CABERNET SAUVIGNON

The 14th century Italian poet, Dante Aligierhi’s magnum opus, The Divine Comedy, is considered a masterpiece in world literature. It has influenced countless works in Western literature and remains dominant even centuries later. Following that inspiration, our debut wine, 2023 ‘DANTE’ CABERNET SAUVIGNON, COOMBSVILLE, was crafted with the understanding that it will influence all our wines that come later. It was created to evoke a sense of purpose and provide a strong foundational feeling to our wines and our lineage. 

Dante also happens to be the name of our co-proprietor's beloved Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, who inspired the Bordeaux blend that encapsulates the muscle, beauty, and mischievousness of every drop in this vintage. The Cabernet Sauvignon from our neighborhood Coombsville AVA provide the muscle and stature that makes Dante haunting, while the Merlot from Broken Rock Ranch in Napa Valley beautifully round out the tannins and bring elegance and a gentle touch. The mischievousness comes from the Petit Verdot that provides that perfect level of spice on the back of the pallet that contributes to a long, enjoyable finish. 

This release is extremely limited with only 20 cases crafted.
